19exempt from all tuition and fees, including segregated fees, in the subsequent year,
20subject to the availability of funds
, except that the maximum scholarship for a

(4) (a) The
board department shall make the payments under subs. (2)
20(c) and (3) only if the center, institution, district school or private institution matches
21the amount of the payment from institutional funds, gifts or grants. Beginning in
22the 1992-93 school year, the matching requirement under this paragraph for the
23centers and institutions within the university of Wisconsin system shall be satisfied
24by payments of an amount equal to the total payments from the centers and
25institutions made under this paragraph in the 1991-92 school year and, if such
1payments are insufficient to satisfy the matching requirement, by the waiver of
2academic fees established under s. 36.27.

(b) The

(5) (a) Each center or institution within the university of Wisconsin

12at state institutions of higher education with appropriate state agencies and
13institutions of higher education in other states to facilitate use of public higher
14education institutions of this state and other states. Such agreements and
15understandings shall have as their purpose the mutual improvement of educational
16advantages for residents of this state and such other states or institutions of other
17states with which agreements are made.

board department shall award talent incentive grants to

department may not award a
6grant to the same student for more than 10 consecutive semesters or their

22the immediate employment opportunities of such students. The

25(17) (e), 1989 stats., and whose creditable service terminates on or after August 15,
11991, who was previously in the position of the president of the university of
2Wisconsin system or in a position designated under s. 20.923 (4)

or (9), but did
3not receive creditable service because of age restrictions, may receive creditable
4service equal to the period of executive service not credited if the participant pays to
5the department a lump sum payment equal to 5.5% of one-twelfth of the employe's
6highest earnings in a single annual earnings period multiplied by the number of
7months of creditable service granted under this paragraph. That amount shall be
8credited and treated as an employe required contribution for all purposes of the
9Wisconsin retirement system.
